I had 4 treatments 6 years ago and the hair is still gone. The key is making sure you go to someone qualified who has good equipment. The term permanent hair reduction derives from the FDA where a pulse of the laser can destroy 95 out of 100 active follicles. Because is was not 100%, the FDA required the term reduction in advertising. By getting 4-5 treatments, you are destroying virtually all of the follicles if it is done correctly.

I think it is completely permanent but you have to go back more than once for it to be completely gone forever. After one session I think it'll just be reduced.

Nair would be a short solution or something like it. There are alot of products on the market that aren't harmful to the skin. However for lasting effects, I would suggest laser. It takes a bit, but the end result is off the chain!!! Just make sure you check references first. Hope this helps.

I'm currently getting laser treatment for my face and it's $ 50/session and I'll need about 6 sessions to remove the hair. Most people need between 5-10 sessions depending on their skin pigment their hair colour and their horomones. It does not always work for everyone and it does not always guarentee being permanent. Some people require touch ups over their life span. Usually consultations are free, so if you have a few hundred saved, go have one and find out if it'd be good for you :) I'm really happy with my results so far.

There isn't really permanent hair removal. It always grows back. Laser hair removal is from $ 200 - $ 500.. so if that's in your budget you can do that but it's not permanent, you have to get it probably at least once a month, but after a while your hair will grow back slower and slower. After 7 or 8 months it will start to be more permanent. Waxing is a lot cheaper but it only lasts for 2 weeks or so.
